His Excellency Mr. Jose Hernandez Rodriguez, Principal Commissioner of the National Police Corps
He was born in the Real Santa Fé of Granada on January 25, 1941. In a humble peasant family.
He entered the boarding school of the Sacromonte school and continued his education at the Padre Suárez Higher Education Center in Granada.
He soon distinguished himself with his vocation to serve the citizens, entering the Higher Police Corps through a competitive examination in the category of inspector.
He married María Mercedes Ajenjo and three children were born.
Years later he was promoted, under the same competitive examination procedure, to the command scale of the Higher Police Corps, being assigned as Chief Commissioner of the San Sebastián towns of Pasajes and Rentería, which no one wanted to access due to the fear of the conflict that the terrorist group ETA generated during the early eighties. He provided great services, which over the years have germinated, leading to the development of social peace that led to the cessation of the armed conflict in the Basque Country.
After his journey in the north of Spain he was assigned to Malaga, taking charge as Chief Commissioner of the Provincial Brigade of Judicial Police, also leaving behind important services of great social significance such as assistance to the relatives of David Guerrero, known as the child painter, or the coordination of actions in the face of the kidnapping of the famous Melodie Nakachian.
Later he was appointed Secretary General of the Provincial Police Station of Malaga, carrying out his work for years with ample efficiency.
He completed his professional career until the year of his retirement taking charge of the Police Station of the Central District of Malaga.
In the Malaga of the nineties he continued to be faithful to his ethics, principles and beliefs, acting as an intermediary between the then Minister of the Interior, Mr. Jaime Mayor Oreja, and the Malaga Brotherhood of Passion of Our Father Jesus the Rich, achieving that the Gold Medal of the National Police Corps was awarded to Christ as an honorary award. This paved the way for subsequent actions carried out in 2014, when the same Medal was awarded to the image of María Santísima del Amor.
For years he actively participated in morning coffee-time gatherings, meeting with various illustrious people from Malaga in the Cafeteria El Jardín, an event that possibly gave rise to the concept of Malaga as we have today. Those gatherings were attended by Mr. Francisco García Mota, Dean of the Cathedral, and Mr. Cayetano Utrera Rabassa, former Mayor of Malaga and Property Registrar.
